Pemetaan Keragaman Komoditas Hortikultura Tahunan per Kecamatan di Kabupaten Demak Tahun 2025 dengan Pendekatan Sistem Informasi Geografis

This study investigates the spatial diversity of annual horticultural commodities across sub-districts in Demak Regency in 2025 using a Geographic Information System approach. The objective is to transform production statistics into interpretable spatial information and identify sub-districts that exhibit diversified production versus strong commodity specialization. The study uses secondary data on annual fruit and vegetable production by commodity and sub-district, combined with a sub-district administrative boundary dataset. Data processing includes cleaning and standardizing attribute names, calculating commodity diversity indicators consisting of commodity richness (the number of commodities with non-zero production) and the Shannon diversity index, and integrating statistical and spatial layers through attribute joining in QGIS. The results reveal marked spatial variation in diversity levels. Several sub-districts show higher richness and more balanced commodity composition, while other areas are characterized by low diversity with production concentrated in a dominant commodity. The thematic maps and WebGIS visualization provide a practical representation of these patterns, supporting planning for horticultural development, diversification strategies, and spatially targeted interventions.
